Why Us?
Australian Council of Women Affairs (ACWA) Inc is a registered charitable organisation established in 1999, dedicated to the provision of a vast range of services to persons of cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Its Executive committee & membership comprises of an array of ethnic backgrounds. Services include support to disadvantaged women; social interaction to those isolated due to frail/ill health or old age; day program / community participation support for adults with an intellectual disability; support coordination for NDIS participants; free NDIS advice and help with seeking reviews.
ACWA has the experience to support the demographics of our Local Government Areas with particular focus, but not exclusive to, the Middle Eastern and North African population.
It also has the resilience that has made them self sufficient working with limited funding since its inception, allowing them to build on the services they provide to disadvantaged community members.
